For customers that purchase radios from us and require an FCC license please review the license coordination services shown below and decide which fits your needs best. VHF frequencies provide the best distance coverage for use in areas with mountains and/or lots of trees. UHF frequencies provide the best distance coverage in metropolitan areas with lots of buildings. Please send us a message through our contact page and we will help you determine your best licensing options. Four different “all encompassing” packages for bundled services plus more complex licenses for government users are available. All include FCC CORES registration, complete Form 601 application preparation, coordination, schedule K (Notice of Completion of Construction), if needed. These are complete service packages. Additional services, channels and applications requiring additional frequency coordination services are available. Applicant needs to only complete a brief worksheet, sign an FCC Form 601 signature page and remit full payment for services and FCC fees. Full payment for Coordination Services and FCC fees MUST be made before any application is submitted to the FCC for processing.
$175 plus $195 FCC filing fee.
ITINERANT CHANNELS for the small to large business. This package is for five VHF channels, licensed on an itinerant basis statewide in any two states of the applicant’s choice or on a nationwide basis. Additional states may be added ($25 per each). These are VHF channels for maximum range in the outdoors. Maximum power is 6 watts ERP for portables and 35 watts for mobiles (higher power possible upon request).
$250 plus $195 FCC filing fee.
FIXED AREA CHANNELS for the small to large business who need a pair of low power UHF channels to communicate between employees. Licensed and coordinated at a fixed location with a limited area of operation, i.e. 5-10 miles. Available frequencies are limited to FCC Group A1, A2 and B UHF low power channels that are listed in Section 90.267. Group A1 and A2 Limits: Base/repeater maximum power is 20 watts ERP, mobiles 6 watts ERP and portables are 2 watts ERP. Maximum base/repeater height is limited to 75 feet above ground and limited to certain areas. Group B Frequencies are limited to 6 watts ERP for base/repeater/fixed or mobiles and 2 watts ERP for portables. In Groups A2 and B, "fixed stations may be licensed as mobiles" per FCC rules. Handheld only = five frequencies.
$200 plus $195 FCC fee.
ITINERANT CHANNELS for the small to large business in need of multiple channels for a temporary job site for a limited period of time. Applicants may choose up to two states or on a nationwide basis. Additional states can be added ($25 per each). Per FCC Rules no stations will be authorized on these channels at a permanent location. Operation on these channels is limited to 6 watts ERP for base and mobile stations, 2 watts ERP for portables. Stations operating at fixed locations for a temporary period of time are limited to an antenna height of 20 feet above ground. This package consists of five total channels listed in the FCC Group C UHF low power Itinerant channel Section 90.267. Upon request five UHF 35 watt itinerant channels may be substituted.
$350 plus $195 FCC fee.
FIXED AREA HIGH POWER CHANNELS for the small to large business who need a pair of high power UHF or VHF channels to communicate over larger areas. Licensed and coordinated at a fixed location with an area of operation not to exceed 20 miles for UHF (450-470 MHz) and 25 miles for VHF (151-160 MHz). Available frequencies are listed under CFR 47, 90.35. Base/repeater maximum power is 200 watts ERP. Higher elevation repeater sites and/or power may be restricted under 90.205.

The fees below are for frequency coordination services and ONLY for customers purchasing equipment from us. The MINIMUM service fee for frequency coordination filing is $125 per FCC Form 601. Fees are assessed on a per-channel, per-pair or per-site basis. Only those FCC officially designated channel pairs qualify for the per-pair pricing. Coordination fees DO NOT include FCC licensing or regulatory fees.

800 MHz repeater system, per channel pair, over 5 watt.
800 MHz 44/22 dBu short spacing studies per site/per channel.
470-520 Mhz stations, per site/per pair, over 5 watt.
Upgrade fee added for station class FB4-FB6-FB8.
This fee includes up to 8 frequencies. $20 for each additional frequency.
When planning to install a radio system it is very important to determine radio coverage with your base station or mountaintop repeater. Kemp Wireless will provide you with predictive radio coverage maps for each considered base station or repeater location. The customer needs to provide us the exact latitude and longitude of the location(s) and we will do the rest!
For more than one location simply choose the option for how many additional sites you require predictive coverage maps.

After you purchase the service we will speak with you by telephone to confirm the latitude and longitude for each location. Please allow about 14 days for the service. Your predictive radio coverage maps will be sent electronically to your email address.
